second verse - so different than the first

it was my birthday.
another weekend in the woods with you.

i got up there on friday afternoon - i wanted to blow off all the responsibility for friday just so i could be up there but the big girl had a test.
you had to work anyway so it worked out nicely actually.

you worked through your lunch so you could come out earlier in the day.
the family wasn't showing up until the next day early.
it was going to work out perfectly.
once again.

more anticipation
more anxious
wanting more.

that night in front of the shed,
it became our spot in the yard.
xm radio, beer, weed, some liquor thrown in for good measure.
baseball, the boneyard, more dave matthews.

even when the family showed up, it was just more entertainment to hide our love from.
slip-n-slide, kids chewing on sticks
pictures all over the property
my arms around your waist, trying to stay on the 4wheeler.
