opening day
the day has been full of lists.
already washed my car (love bugs suck ass), washed the dog, swept the kitchen, taken laundry to mom's (ya, still no washer. the repair man is coming in the morning), and pulled the hurricane box out of the attic.
i'm not a weather person. i look outside and gauge my day on the 'right now' even though i do have an umbrella in my car (more for the kids than me).
but with an amazingly uneventful storm season last year, i see it coming.
i've also been doing some job research. finding out salaries from around the states for ultrasound. i'm sure that once i specialize, the pay would go up from there. i'm seriously leaning towards high risk OB.
i can go to memphis and make $80k a year.
i can stay here and make $50k a year.
i can go to alabama and make $65k a year.
i know a gal in south georgia that does contract work with three dr offices, works 4 days a week and clears $100k a year.
in california, it wouldn't matter because i would still need six roommates to afford to live.
but all that is insignificant until i sit for the registry and get my recommendation (read: pass the tests). once i've got the abbreviations after my name, i can do whatever the fuck i want.
and number one on the list - get a divorce.

Make sure it is what you want... and then, good luck, it all gets infinitely more complicated from there, what with a full time job, a $100K a year job not withstanding...
I don’t think I mentioned that I’m on an assignment at Philips Medical, updating manuals for their Brilliance CT Scanner line, that's compute tomography (computerized X-ray)... Hope it last a little while at least...;-)
That last sentence is the best one.
Out of curiousity, what does Chicago pay? Heh...
or Seattle.....
