title: are you ready for what's to come?

it's back to the school grind tomorrow night. i should be looking forward to it but it sure has been nice to not have to study and be home in the evenings for the past 10 days.

but in a way, i am sooo looking forward to getting back in the routine. as much as i hate to be away from the girls, it's going to be nice not to have to look at my husband all evening.

have also been thinking of when i'm out of school - trying to get some sort of idea as to what i'm going to do.

it's been brought to my attention that my state is a 50/50 state when it comes to divorce. this is something i'm going to have to do some research on and get specifics about.

when it comes down to it, both cars and the house are in MY name only. if this is a 50/50 state, how is that going to pan out in the end? am i going to end up paying him to leave? i don't want anything from him (although the girls will get what they deserve) - i just want him out and not my husband.

one of my aunt's is a legal secretary..... i'm going to pick her brain on this one.

i keep coming back to the idea of working at a nearby children's hospital. after i'm registered, i can go anywhere that's hiring. i've always wanted to work at this particular hospital and it would take moving closer to it for a job like that to work out.

but it ain't chicago.
or seattle.
or anywhere that was on my list of places to move.

all i can say with certainty is that i'm ready to go as far as i can with this career path i've chosen.
i'm ready to be on my own, with my children and dog, living a life according to me.

i'm ready to crawl under a rock and cry.
