put some pants on your kids already

i've recently had the pleasure of viewing a video of a friend's children. not that it was exclusive to me as it is posted online for the world to see, but this video opened up a big part of my cold, dead heart.

i don't know why it got to me quite like it did and i'm not so sure i can really put it in words.

in a way, it made me sad.
sad that what is so normal for some isn't the case for all.
sad that perfection can't be spread around evenly.
sad because, in a weird and obscure way, i'd love to be a part of it somehow.

all the reasons why it makes me sad are things that are impossible for too many reasons. it's stupid to think of it along the lines of sad when it's obviously amazingly happy and wonderful.

i don't know what the fuck i'm trying to say.
other than the fact that your kids are nuts (proof that the apple does not fall far from the tree) and your dog isn't as thick as mine - words escape me.

friend, your world is perfection. there will always be ups and downs, trials and tribulations, smiles and tears, but you are the best mom in the world.
don't ever doubt that, ok?
