baby girl - 1. brown dog - 0.

so, the tree is up and decorated.
the big girl escaped a 7 day minimum lock down by all of a sudden getting control of her emotions.
the baby girl got a citizen of the m0nth award and was beaming with pride.

my 0B class came to a close rather quickly.
monday was our lab final which was a p0werp0int presentation of 40 pictures we either had to label, diagnose, or explain s0n0graphically.
got a 93 on that.
tuesday was our lecture final. i ended up with an 83. not too bad for really not studying (since the big girl was having a bad day).
last night, we started the last class. the last five weeks of class has begun.
mon and tues nights are peds with wed and thurs being male repr0. there is no room for skipped classes or leaving early this mod, that's for sure.

i got wednesday night off so that was when we took the opportunity to decorate the tree and have a nice dinner.
it was nice to be home in the evening.

i took pictures as the lights went on the tree and as the decorations broke on the tile floor went on the tree, one by one.

i took pictures of the girls and the dog and got a bit of a boxing match on camera, too. it was like the dog and the baby girl were picking at each other all evening. he would bother her, she would bother him.
and when we got the bulk of the photos taken, he finally let her have it and licked the baby girl's face.
it was like the last straw and she let him have it.

and today, the husband and baby girl have gone to the woods.
i will be going later with the dogs. the big girl is going on a retreat with her church for the weekend - she leaves after school today.
i'm hoping that she gets everything out of this that she's looking for. it will definitely be an awesome time to meet some new people.

the parents were encouraged to write letters to our kids that will be handed out there as a surprise. i wrote about how proud of her i am with regards to her growing faith giving her the strength and determination to tackle every day, and how much faith i have in her as a courageous and important person in the world.

in a way, i felt like it was a test.
heh..

anyway - thanks for the continued words of encouragement, friends.

it's the perfect time of year
somewhere far away from here
i feel fine enough, i guess
considering everything's a mess.
there's a restaurant down the street
where hungry people like to eat
i could walk, but i'll just drive
it's colder than it looks outside.

Yay..everyone looks so happy and beautiful! I love the pictures!

Life does go on..all we can do is take every day and every situation as it comes. I am not big on talking about God, but what they say about Him giving us only what we can handle is true, has been for me...so far.

Take care...
