special delivery

i have a cactus that was given to me when the bi'girl was born. it was rooted when i found out i was pregnant and given to me four days after she was born.
it's been through quite some hell over the past 15 years and has somehow survived it all.
the most catastrophic thing was one time when my dear friend was grilling something and didn't move the grill off the patio. the heat of the grill proceeded to cook the living shit out of my cactus. by then, it was probably a good 6 inches tall and maybe 18 inches around.
it was quite nice.
and quickly charred beyond recognition.
but i cleaned it up and nursed what was left back to some sort of health.
it took me YEARS.
and now, it's really not that much bigger and grows totally different than it did before.
but it's always dropping off little babies, looking for their own dirt and sunshine.
is it legal to send cacti in the mail?

Midwesterners don't have accents; the rest of "y'all" do. Don't even tell me Paula Deen doesn't have an accent.
You know I have to give you shit about this.
in our time there (and i guess that's the midwest even though it still seems pretty mideast to me), the best accents we heard were at your house!
and paula deen is not from the same planet as the rest of us. that's why her body can tolerate so much real butter and heavy cream on top of the shortenin', darlin'.
really though - i'm not even from where she's from. there's no comparison.
mine is by proxy, i guess.
heh..
