i don't know why i just quit posting after such a good run.
that's how it goes, i suppose.
i hate how i do that though.

but my routine has been the same.
except for this week - no one is in school. the district decided the end of sept that the kids would have off the whole week. no more just thurs and fri.
it also worked out with big girl's schedule. they are slowly migrating to year round school up there so she has the whole week off, too.

so.... this is my holiday this year.
that means for ohchrist.mas, the girls will be away.
last year, they were home for the eve and i transported the 25th. it was a terrible day.
they will come here on the 26th for ohchrist.mas.

i want to write about big girl but i just don't want to exert the brain power to do it.

now that the weather is finally fall-like, i've spent a lot of time on the back porch. it used to be so nice out here.
for some reason, i just sort of stopped caring about my plants a few years ago. it's been a long year of getting things growing again.

today, i've got to finish the canopy. had to get a replacement after it slowly breaking down. and the cat walking all over it and laying on it didn't help.
especially the day he fell through.
heh... that was funny.

but i've got to finish drilling new holes in the skeleton after being assured that this was the correct replacement of the three available. the spacing on my frame was surely the same as between the clips on the canopy. the differences in the three were simply the spacing of the clips - only millimeters.

well guess what?
it ain't right.
by inches.

after going to three different commercial home stores, i finally found more bits for my trusty dremm3l so i can finish drilling holes in the right places for the canopy they refuse to take back because i didn't open it in a timely enough manner.

i did let it sit in the box for two and a half months before i opened it.
they have a 30 day return policy.
they especially won't take it back since i unpacked it.
the fuckers.

pumped up
