visual loss

again, i should have my nose in one of my books.
but i'm catching up on some online things, surfing for useless info, going through friends of friends on the fb00k and rehashing high school thoughts.

for ohchrist.mas, i got a new camera - one of these.
yesterday, i got it out because it was time for some more 'cute puppy' pics and holyhell.... it's fucking broken. the shutter button (and auto focus and pan and zoom button) was fucking gone. it just wasn't even there at all. all i saw was the inside of the camera where the underside pieces of said button would fit into to control everything.

i immediately thought baby girl was going to get an assbeating for breaking the camera. it would be one she would remember for a lifetime...

then i saw it...

a tooth mark in the casing.

TAAANNKKK!!!!

so much for those cute puppy pics. the lil'bastard.

the person that gave it to me for ohchrist.mas - they didn't purchase any type of warranty. one in particular would have covered this in it's entirety and in the store. now i gotta send it off to godknowswhere for whoknows:howlong.

after consulting the committee, it seems as though i'm probably going to take a contract job with my auntie three days a week. it's going to be grunt work in the warehouse spreading stuff they call 'g00' on canvas prints. you paint it on in the same direction as the brush strokes on the print and when it dries, it looks like real paint - texture and all.
it's getting me there and learning things.
and i think it's going to be fucking great.

and i was also notified by the committee that as of immediately, all funding will be cut in half.
so, i gotta get a job and do trans.scription when i can.

i'm not sure what to say about Y.
it is what it is.

i want to be friends. she wants all or nothing.
