what next...

it's saturday afternoon and i'm lounging in my rocking chair just as i have most of the time since i got home wednesday evening.

my 'procedure' wednesday went just fine.
drove myself to the hospital, got checked in, was taken to pre-op and settled in my hospital gown. talked to three different nurses and was about to doze off when the anesthesiologist came in. not long after that, the dr came in to mark the spot.
then i was dosed with the vitamin v and the next thing i remember was waking up in recovery and my auntie being there.
my mom and stepdad were there shortly thereafter and about 40 minutes later, they let me go home.
spent the day on mom's couch and came home later that evening.  my stepdad wanted us to stay the night but the girls would be more comfortable being home.  and i was more comfortable being in my own bed, too.

did nothing thursday but migrate between my rocking chair and my bed.
friday, i went with mom to the local membership warehouse store to renew our cards, and did more migrating between the chair and my bed.
in the evening, big girl's friend boy came over and we ordered pizza and i stayed in my chair and enjoyed the vic0din ride.

today, i'm venturing out for the evening.
i'm meeting my auntie and her husband at a restaurant/bar place to listen to some music and eat.
remember my friend J - the girl i couldn't get enough of for so long?  ya, well, she's going with me.  we have been talking and reconnecting again.
wait.  reconnecting does not mean anything without clothes.  we are not doing that.  i miss my friends.
since ending things with Y, i've just wanted my friends back.
it's been difficult on some levels but with J, it's been good.

took big girl to have her senior photo taken today.  all we had done was the one that will be in the year book.  i'm going to take the casual shots that will be the fun ones, the ones that will capture her personality.  we plan to do that next weekend.
after she takes the ess-a-tee test.

-long pause-

things feel like they are creeping up on us quickly.
before i know it, we will be watching big girl walk across the stage with her diploma in hand.
then the next day, i will be buying her a laundry basket and a shower caddy for her dorm room.

geeze.  i want to take a trip.
and you know where...
